Transitioned into software development from a background in Russian linguistics and English as a foreign language instruction. Strong affinity for learning new languages and mastering logical systems. Highly dedicated and willing to go to great lengths in order to master new skills. First became interested in programming while teaching English to the employees of Intel, Kaspersky, and Yandex (Russia’s equivalent to Google) in Moscow. Having been exposed to programming projects at those companies, subsequently enrolled in Udacity’s Front-End Web Development nanodegree program and later Tech Elevator’s 14-week intensive Java Applications Development bootcamp. Relevant work experience includes a year-long contribution to a Google SEO project as a Russian-language Ads Quality Rater, mentoring fellow Udacity students as a Team Guide, a role which was granted due to a record of outstanding achievement, three years as an IT Applications Programmer at Progressive Insurance, and currently API Development at RE/MAX, LLC.Dedicated to continual self-improvement and education and passionate about computer programming, with a special interest in cloud computing. Achieved the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification in January of 2018, followed by the AWS Alexa Skill Builder Specialty certification in May, 2019, and the AWS Developer Associate certification in October 2019. Now busy preparing for the DevOps Associate exam. Have developed multiple skills for the voice-user-interface Alexa platform, with the code running on AWS Lambda (most notably including a skill for "The Tom Woods Show" podcast).
