As Algoma Township's Supervisor, I serve as the top administrator and elected official of 12,000 residents in the Rockford/Sparta/Cedar Spring area. I have served as a Wyoming City Councilman, State Representative and Michigan Republican House Whip. Leading the North Kent community in addressing the water contamination crisis by holding dozens of town halls and personally assisting over 500 residents. Bringing leaders together to negotiate a 70 million dollar settlement with Wolverine Worldwide to provide residents with clean drinking water. Furthermore, facilitating the improvement of a quarter of the township’s roads, saving taxpayers money by renegotiating city contracts, and leading the process of approving four balanced budgets.

Experience as Real Estate Manager for Ann Arbor, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Markets for Outfront Media and Adams Outdoor as well as owning, managing and selling independent billboard company.

• Negotiations and community relations with local municipalities and property owners to promote new technologies (digital signs) and billboard lease agreements in the Outdoor Advertising for Adams Outdoor.• Completed almost 200 lease renewals in 23 municipalities contracted with Adams Outdoor Advertising in less than two years. Developed continual and revolving revenue. Controlled and reduced costs for the company, streamlining finances and increasing profits by 17%.• Lobbied for and negotiated a new ordinance in the city of Kalamazoo, approving seven updated digital billboards. This included one billboard placed on the rooftop at the center of the city. Secured leases with the Portage School Board for eight major onsite signs.• Obtained 25 variances throughout career for outdoor signage from zoning boards of appeals members. • House of Representative Whip - last two terms (4 years), Assistant Whip first term (2 years). One of few members that was on both the Appropriations and Policy committees. Job as the House Whip was to lead the party on building consensus and pass bills on important legislation.• Represented 90K residents in the City of Wyoming and Byron Township as the Michigan State Representative. Elected by fellow state representatives as House Whip, and appointed Vice Chair of Community Health (DCH) Appropriations Committee from the Speaker of the House.• Appointed as Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee for Lansing, Michigan. Oversaw the state’s $44MM budget, reviewing cost control methods and potential plans of action for improvement. Served on the Department of Community Health (DCH) with the state’s largest departmental budget at $14MM. Reduced the DCH budget by over 25% while maintaining vital service levels.

• Developed new business relationships in 26 northern and western Michigan counties for CBS Outdoor. Collaborated with key thought leaders, elected officials and influential constituents toward the common goals of community involvement, awareness and corporate visibility through outdoor advertising.• Incorporated discussions on municipal code with boards of appeals members, negotiating for over 1.1K lease agreements. Reduced contract expirations from 70% to 2% within 4 years. Obtained all variances necessary to build and rebuild outdoor advertising signage. Named one of the top producing real estate managers in the nation for several consecutive years.

• Represented 72K residents in Wyoming, Michigan, in the City Council; elected as the youngest member in its 50-year history. Collaborated with the mayor and colleagues to bolster the community, forming the legislative and policy-making structures.
