Responded to the brief offered by senior leaders to develop my role from first principles, delivering for them and other stakeholders:► Newman Health & Wellbeing, a completely new and innovative social venture providing counselling and psychotherapy for young people, adults & corporate clients, outreach to young people locally, and wellbeing workshops for individuals and organisations► personalised coaching and mentoring for colleagues and students► a broader programme of engagement and support for students looking to become more enterprising ► a growing bank of employers, practitioners and alumni, including ones to mentor Newman University students in partnership with the West Midlands Mayor’s ‘One Million Mentors’► sustainable partnerships, worth over £0.5m, with other local universities to provide a programme of support for small and medium sized enterprises, enterprise start-up support for students and a transformational programme to enhance the number of students and alumni securing graduate level roles

► Developed, led and delivered an exemplary Job Club, working in partnership with Christians Against Poverty and Job CentrePlus, Wolverhampton City Council, Wolverhampton Volunteers, a range of employers and other local agencies► Provided 1 to 1 personal coaching, backed up by a warm welcome, generous support, free telephone and WiFi access and lots of inspiration to help people grow in confidence and secure their place in the jobs market► Subsequently mentored the next Job Club Manager, leading group sessions and coaching individuals on an invited/occasional basis.

► Worked with Chief Executives, Managing Directors and Heads of Marketing to promote their organisations and generate additional business.► Demonstrated the relative merits of different print and online/digital media solutions, researching new markets and finding ways of satisfying these.

► Negotiated HM Government’s performance contracts with public sector partners in Staffordshire and the Black Country which led to improved public services► Equipped staff in local organisations with the skills and knowledge to improve the most deprived neighbourhoods in the West Midlands.► Connected over 300 deprived communities to the digital era by setting up ICT centres fully linked to internet and benefiting over 6000 people.

► Led negotiations between the UK, local councils and the European Commission which culminated in agreement of five major regional European Funded Programmes worth over £300m. ► Contributed to the safeguarding and creation of thousands of jobs, hundreds of new small businesses, numerous new cultural, community and scientific facilities and the Midland Metro.► Delivered these European Funding programmes to schedule by recruiting, leading, coaching and mentoring nearly 50 staff from across the private, public and voluntary sectors, all within an agreed personnel budget of c£1.5m per annum.
