Harvy - Running + Music Companion (https://harvy.app)Harvy is a web and iOS application that tracks a user's running activity while also providing music that matches the elevation and difficulty of the route ahead. A hill coming up in the next half mile? Harvy queues up a track with a higher BPM to help push you through.Role: Solo-founder and developerWeb application: Built with React, Firebase, and serverless functions, users can draw routes on a map, analyze segments by elevation data, and input pace for accurate route estimates. From there, users provide seed songs to help Harvy correlate music BPM and tempo to the different segments on the route based on elevation mapping. Harvy then produces a playlist that provides the best song for every segment.Mobile application: A real time activity tracker that predicts on the y where users could potentially run, analyzes the route ahead of the user, calculates the difficulty, and queues the best song for the upcoming segment. The activity tracker provides a user's pace, the overall time, overall distance, and currently playing song to the user during the activity. Users can then sync activities with Strava and generate social share images of their activities. (The first version was originally built with react-native but was migrated to Swift after some slight issues with App Store submissions)
