Built and configured a custom static resource (primarily for JavaScript) package building and continuous integration system based in Node.js with Grunt. Held several different roles at Progrexion. The most recent role was that of Software Architect and Release Manager. Worked with a team of back-end engineers in charge of maintaining web-based marketing systems including call-center software, lead management and distribution, and tracking systems. Managed multiple software projects and websites including CreditRepair.com, eFolks.com, and LexingtonLaw.com. Primary software architect and back-end developer for the eFolks network. Duties also included research and analysis, software requirements elicitation, representing development in marketing meetings, software planning, support, task assignment, talent hiring, training, documentation, coordination with QA, and release management and execution.Our systems comprised dozens of servers, some virtualized, most in load-balanced systems, and a handful of database machines, all replicated. Some server admin and maintenance fell into my lap including server software setup and design, distributed logging, custom log monitoring, NFS configuration, custom LAMP configuration, custom distribution models for web farms, release process scripting (including Subversion and TargetProcess integration and communication), cronjob management, user and filesystem management, etc.Some level of MySQL database administration. I managed everything from the DDL to the update process; change management; user management; SQL query monitoring, management, and optimization -- everything except the administration of the MySQL server installation itself.Our team was heavily involved in Agile processes using Scrum methodology. Onai.net was started by Travis Barney and myself in May of 2003. With my brilliant parnter, Mr. Barney, I developed a set of software tools for rapidly building scalable, advanced, functional websites and web applications. This includes the SPADE (skinnable PHP application development engine) Engine and support tools including SPADE PageManager, SPADE FileManager, Onai TableManager, and SPADE AccessManager. We sold support packages for this system to companies and built and maintained custom implementations. Some notable clients include: Novell Users International, MyFamily.com, HRCP, eHealthCompete, and WeightLossWars.During my full-time tenure with Onai.net, I acted as business manager, client contact and support, sales, project design and proposals, application architecture and back-end development, database design and administration, hosting support, finances, and many other duties associated with small businesses and entrepreneurship.
