I began my professional career by joining the Supply Management Team at SpenDifference as a Purchasing Operations Coordinator. By managing contract entry, item mapping, store mapping, logistics analytics, unapproved spend mitigation, and the post-audit process, I have been exposed to the dynamic and complex systems employed by restaurant concepts to maintain their competitive edge. After a year working "behind the scenes", I moved to the Sourcing Department as a Sourcing Analyst - assisting with targeted bids, RFPs, and GPO optimization projects for 22 brands. The role deepened my understanding of comprehensive sourcing processes, effective project management techniques, specific category considerations, and my ability to handle complex projects simultaneously.My next opportunity took these skills to the international level - becoming a consultant with Marlene Blacx Consulting.
