Provided global leadership for a $1.2 billion electrical connection systems business. Accountable for profit/loss, strategic planning, technology development, revenue growth and operations management on a global basis.

Buffalo/Niagara, New York Area

Provided leadership for a global engineering organization of 1400 technical specialists in 13 countries in the development of next generation heat exchangers, HVAC modules, air conditioning compressors and complete HVAC and powertrain cooling systems. Responsibility included product and process design from initial concepts to full volume ongoing production.

Developed synergies across six divisional technical organizations in 23 countries with 11,000 technical specialists. Led the Chief Technical Officers across the corporation in common people development, engineering business processes, product technology, and quality improvement initiatives. This included the establishment of centers of expertise, the strategy for engineering data systems, the initiation of group products, Delphi’s first Six Sigma initiatives and a comprehensive attack to improve warranty.

Developed next generation chassis systems for General Motors vehicles including the all electric EV1 with the first re-generative braking system and electro/hydraulic power steering system.
