I am the leader/manager of a team of mixed language, Line 1 Customer Support agents, for one of the world's leading speaker manufacturers. We provide Telephone, Email, Chat, WhatsApp, Social Media (Facebook/Twitter), Bazaarvoice, Ebay and Amazon Questions support, as well as enhanced Technical and Ecommerce support for Harman's Global customers. So the days are fast-paced, varied and usually gone in the blink of an eye!I am a hard-working individual, who often puts in extra hours (without financial reward), to ensure that both my Team and I are working to the best of our abilities, that I meet my targets every week and complete all tasks within deadlines. Whatever it takes to be the best at what I am doing and have the best Team performance.Having had good life-experience and in work-experience, I feel I am a well-rounded, strong character, who tries to manage by gaining the respect of my staff; by demonstrating experience, intelligence, logic, new ideas and a caring, nurturing attitude when required. By sharing my views and encouraging feedback, I work hard to form reciprocal relationships with my staff, through which I can motivate and coach them to reach higher standards, thus giving them a solid platform to succeed and develop.I am never scared to make a hard decision, but I am always willing to take feedback and look for support and guidance through my Team of management peers. Nobody likes to be micro-managed, but sometimes the business needs it. This is something I excel in. Planning and Preparation has always been something I am good at.I encourage my staff to look beyond their current roles in the company and support them to develop the skills they need to aspire to those roles, through continual assessment of their quality, 1-1 coaching and referrals to specialised training. I take no greater pride than in situations where a staff member under my charge has been promoted to a higher role, when I have played a supporting part in their development. Having fun at work is essential to having a strong team bond and helps to retain valued staff, so I try hard to communicate with the team at large and have some fun. Whether that be gags, memes, GIFs, banter, or some of the more complicated Team Building exercises I have run/put together and the Fun Incentives schemes I have budgeted and ran. All work and no play makes Kev a dull boy!My main strength lies in my written communications, which makes me a good person to work in a remote/hybrid Team Management role, with over 2 years current exp in contact centre team management roles.
