Received government funding from the Higher Educations Ministry of Malaysia FRGS grant amounting to RM97.8k in July 2016 for the research project titled: “Real-time gait acquisition using nonlinear EMG analysis and extreme learning machine extrapolator”. The work proposed is based on a type of the single hidden layer feedforward neural network developed in my PhD thesis. The goal is to develop an algorithm that can predict gait parameters accurately with minimal sensing equipment in order to cut costs in real world usage of the laboratory imaging technology.Lead academic of an Industry linked research collaboration with Motorola Solutions Malaysia where a 5 year MoU was signed in 2013. From this collaboration I have brought in 16 yearlong projects at the level of undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as 5 projects under the short term summer research schemes. The content of these projects are protected under NDAs. I frequently liaise with industry managers directly to maintain a close relationship and consistently suggests and plan for new ways of working together. Research in the area of artificial intelligence, specializing in development of neural networks for implementation on large scale data processing. Practical application of intelligent systems to real world problems such as cancer diagnosis and hand writing recognition.Published a total of 4 papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals.Attended and presented at 2 international conferences on machine learning algorithms - artificial intelligence.Reviewed over 50 journal and conference papers for renowned publishers.

Programmed and tested a Smart House network application server to control and manage household appliances using context based information from users. Assisted in the development of Context Aware Systems on Java based networks.
