Originally from the State of Indiana, U.S.A., I have worked in China for most of the last two decades. I waa primarily based in the cities of Shanghai, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, and I am currently working in Chengdu. Over the last six years I have taught Business, Music, and English courses at universities in Chengdu, Nanchang, and Changsha, China. Previously, I worked in administration and MBA education marketing and management for internationally-acclaimed business schools in Shanghai, and I also pursued entrepreneurial ventures in international trade and education, and I co-owned and operated the first live jazz music club in Xi'an from 2005-2008.During my time in China I have also been active in jazz music performance as a multi-instrumentalist on trumpet, piano, and saxophone at major jazz venues in Shanghai, Chengdu, Xian, Shenzhen, and Beijing, including Riverside Jazz Club, Oaknose Jazz Club, Beijing Blue Note, Meeting Jazz, JZ, CJW, and True Colors.Having lived abroad for an extended period of time, I have immersed myself in new cultures and become accustomed to living and working in diverse environments. This has greatly enhanced my ability to navigate cultural nuances, facilitating cross-cultural relationship building and compatibility working in Western and Asian cultural settings. I am interested in new professional opportunities that allow me to leverage my experience in China, Mandarin fluency, MBA degreee, and entrepreneurial background in the areas of education, investment, and international business development. Other professional interests I have include investing in financial markets and managing my own portfolio, as I consistently keep up to date with business and investing news and trends. I also continue to invest time and money in import/export trading of consumer products I source in China. Additionally, I do commercial voice recording, English editing and translation, and ocassional speaking events for business and goverment organizations.My hobbies include music recording and production, exercising at the gym and outdoors, swimming, fitness, reading, and travel.
