Ran the Middle East and Africa Business until the acquisition of Veritas. Then ran MENA region for the combined company until December 2008 at which point I took on a project in Africa running the African business till March 2009

I was responsible for building a new Software distribution business in Central Africa. In mid 1998 as a result of this effort , we received Microsofts regional directors award for our outstanding achievements in the region. From a small start of just 3 people we transformed the busness within a few years to a significant player in the IT industry in the region with over 50 employees in 3 countries.

Art corporation was major manufacturer of plasics and paper products with 5 plastics factories, forests, 2 paper mills and large conversion plants. As a senior manager I held various key roles including General Manager of one of the plastics companies. I was also seconded to projects with the Chairman of the company looking at new ventures, and business reengineering both internally and with major international partners.
