Management of a consulting contract for development of Thuraya's second generation consumer L-band satellite phone and data terminal development program. The satellite terminals operate as DSL data terminals as well as offering voice service. They employ DSP processing with a custom ASIC, L Band RF transmit and receive circuits, compact antenna design and GPS location reporting system optimized into a small handheld product.

Managing of the procurement and successful delivery of the Spaceway space and ground segments. This included two satellites, Ka-band earth stations (mission and operations), satellite control facilities and satellite simulator test systems. The Ka-band Spaceway satellite system was designed for high speed IP broadband mesh applications using a fully regenerative communications payload with a multi-beam dynamic phased array antenna. Spaceway was delivered on orbit and handed over to Directv for HDTV operations.
