- State Governmental Affairs team - assist with Energy policy research and strategy during Michigan's efforts to improve Michigan's energy legislation.- Support collaboration and negotiation with key stakeholders: MISO, DTE Energy, the Coalition for Michigan's Energy Future (CMEF), Michigan Agency for Energy, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Association of Michigan, ABATE, Michigan Environmental Council, IPPs, net metering & solar special interests.- Support lobby/advocacy with Senate Energy & Technology Committee, House Energy Committee.- Represent ties to Regulation of potential new Legislation (through MPSC).- Key policy issues included: Retail Open Access (ROA, 10% cap on deregulation), Resource Adequacy, Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and preparation for Clean Power Plan, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Regulatory Reform (Ratemaking), Decoupling (Rate Case Timing and Self-Implementation, Rate Design for Large Industrials/Schools), Net Metering Reform, Small Business Advocacy, Transmission.

- Fostered relationships between Energy Resources and the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) Staff to support fair & timely regulation. - Business priorities included: capacity planning for Consumers Energy and for MISO Zone 7, renewables (rooftop solar, community solar, Renewable Energy Plan), environmental compliance, PSCR/GCR, Electric and Gas Rate Cases, energy efficiency, demand response, and CHP/co-gen pilots.- Partnered with MPSC Staff to achieve regulatory success that provides substantial customer benefit.- Worked with Governmental Affairs on Regulatory impacts of proposed energy legislation in Michigan.

- Generation Engineering Services Division (ESD).- Manage ESD equipment technical consultation services and outage support services- Technical oversight for SMEs and projects related to boilers, piping, pressure vessels, steam and combustion turbines, electric generators, major motors, electrical switchgear, and air quality control equipment (ACI, SDA, bag houses, scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators). - Technical oversight/expertise for 5 coal-fired generating sites: Campbell, Karn/Weadock, Cobb, Whiting- Technical oversight/expertise support for CT plants: Zeeland, Morrow, Straights, Thetford - Technical oversight/expertise support for Hydro and Renewables facilities: Ludington Pumped Storage, LakeWinds and CrossWinds wind turbine projects, various river hydro facilities- Support CMS Energy plants as technical, project, and outage expertise - Genessee, Filer City, Grayling, Craven County, Dearborn Industrial Generation.- Manage ESD Machine Shop operations.
