TourRadar is the largest multi-day travel marketplace in the world. I led the product design and UX research business unit, managing all the design operations, and interfacing directly with the executive leadership team on a day-to-day basis.I managed to grow the product design and research team by 300% in 3 months. I directed the creation of our internal design system, 10X'ing our design delivery times, and I oversaw customer experience improvements that led to 30%➕ uplift in cross funnel conversion rates.My team was awesome! We were growing and learning a lot, being well funded and running at breakneck speed but got body-slammed by Corona, alongside the rest of the travel industry.

In the boardroom, they're the best IoT consumer electronic products this company ever invented, to the rest of the world, they're those awesome Twitch Stream and TikTok lights making everyone glow pink and green.I landed in this 130-year-old Innovation & Design Giant with a mission to bring their Hue product line to more people through their own direct-to-consumer channels.Managing the digital customer experience program, I was in charge of formulating a UX Vision, Strategy, Roadmap, and expected outcomes for the various teams involved. Collaborating with all the various business units, we were able to deliver well north of €300M in annual revenue with a multichannel strategy.I learned a great deal, had fun doing it and even won a couple of marketing awards along the way.

Booking.com is simply put the worlds largest travel marketplace. The one that spams your inbox every time you visit. With over 14,000 employees, based in Holland, run with an American flair, operating like a startup straight out of the Valley, working here was quite an adventure.As a tech department with 150 Designers and well over 1000 Engineers, we had over 1100 a/b tests and online experiments running at any one time. With access to millions of data points and customers, I was able to help my team grow the user reviews platform by 500% to over 100 million authentic traveller reviews, resulting in tens of millions of euros in additional monthly revenue.I also learned to play ping-pong really well, and drink dutch beer. Often at the same time.

A Cloud Email Marketing SaaS. Quite a mouthful and one would think boring cause its Email, but I cut my teeth here as a team leader and design manager. The company experienced 600% growth and was Africa's third fastest-growing startup.During my time here I managed to hire and grow a team from scratch, integrate them into an agile engineering environment and create a Design System before they were cool, cutting front-end development time by 50%. I also learned to love Email and created a Design System for that too...years ahead of its time.

I worked in a small team inside a huge corporate conglomerate designing mobile apps for enterprise companies in the telecoms space. Designing solutions for Research In Motion (aka Blackberry), Qualcomm and Vodafone among others, my skeuomorphic designs landed in the hands of thousands of people. I learned a lot about mobile UI design and what was possible across various devices.Though I probably spent more time at the food court around the corner than actually doing productive work...the founders liked arguing and eating. I left before my first year was up.
