Focused on highly effective collaborative team practices, preparing students for the demands of the 21st century through innovative teaching and learning practices, and using student achievement data to leverage mindful change and improvement in schools.Mr. Corner was committed to student leadership and transitional support as he promoted a student mentorship / leadership support program utilizing eighth graders to support sixth graders. Additionally, he was focused on developing 21st century skills and instruction in order to meet the educational demands we will face in the next century. While at Cross he developed model 21st Century classrooms and teaching practices.

Developed a team taught 21st Century Classroom that integrated technology with innovation and thinking skills. All instruction was centered on life-long, take-away learning and assessments were project based and utilized rubrics. Student self-reflection was a foundation of the class.
