* Work with employers to help them get access to California’s Employment Training Panel (ETP) funding to assist them in upgrading the skills of their workers through training that leads to good paying, long-term jobs.* Coordinate the ParnossahWorksLA.org employment website - a FREE job website for employers/job seekers in the Greater Los Angeles area.* Work one-on-one with job seekers with little or no experience in the area of computer skills or internet skills needed for a successful job search. * Teach how to use Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet. Instruct job seekers to use job search web sites, such as Monster and CareerBuilder. * Teach computer fundamentals, such as; how to establish an e-mail account and use Yahoo Mail or Google Mail, how to save and retrieve files, how to upload resumes to on-line job applications. * Train job seekers to create and properly format resumes and cover letters. How to navigate the internet for job search related research. How to identify companies to target and to identify professional associations that may provide networking opportunities. How to find job openings using on-line social networking sites such as LinkedIn.

* Worked with Fund Administration and Compliance Group to implement a web based solution to collect personal investing information from employees. Information was collect to comply with the regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory organizations. This project eliminated over 99%, approximately 45,000 paper forms used each year.* Implemented a solution to electronically collect employee trade confirmations and statements from the four largest stock brokerage firms used by employees for personal investing. This project required extensive data mapping from each stock brokerage firms interface files to Capital Group’s systems. This project automated the receipt of approximately 60% of the daily trade confirmations for Capital Group’s employees.* Responsible for gathering business requirements from attorneys and developing the various artifacts for projects in accordance with Capital’s SDLC. The artifacts included project proposals, project schedules, budgets, functional specifications, use cases and project statuses.* Wrote functional and non-functional test cases and performed quality assurance testing. Utilized Mercury Quality Center to develop test cases and to record the results of the testing. Coordinated with the developers the resolution of the test cases that failed. Also conduced usability testing for the system used to collect personal investing information from employees.* Worked closely with the end users, the development team, and the quality assurance team to make sure that the developed solution met the requirements of the business units. * Originally started as a contractor from Prosum. After one year was hired as an employee.
