As a member of the Senior Management Team of this Investor backed Technology Start-up, my principal activities included developing a five-year financial plan that could be easily adjusted tp a changing market environment, principally caused by the Covid pandemic. In addition, I managed the conversion of the accounting methodology from the Small Companies Financial Reporting framework to US GAAP and led the Company through the completion of its first formal set of Audited Financial accounts. I was responsible for the development and execution of the financial strategy of the company, overseeing all matters relating to finance and accounting, internal controls and related processes, and financial/reporting systems. Relationships with external Audit and Tax Advisors were my responsibility, and I managed cash flow and financial risk. In Spring 2021, I was part of the team that concluded an LOI leading to the sale of the business.

For seven years, I served as the CFO for this Shell Technology Venture Fund Company comprised of 11 multinational entities. I provided leadership to professional teams in Houston and Dubai, and my areas of responsibility included IT, legal, treasury, asset management, accounting and finance. Over the years, I negotiated and secured revolving credit facilities, arranged factoring facilities, and led the consolidation and integration of multiple entities. I also streamlined and standardized reporting and controls. As a team, we implemented a CRM system providing improved sales intelligence and refined forecasting processes. Additionally, we were successful in collecting $5 million in foreign debt outstanding.

The founder and owner of Andergauge, Ltd hired me as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer. My challenge was to provide the financial guidance and leadership necessary to grow this $10 million oilfield services firm. In this role, I built an accounting and finance team, and held C-level leadership for cash flow and working capital management, general accounting, IT and financial reporting. I also served as Company Secretary to the Private Equity board.During my tenure, I assisted in transitioning corporate headquarters to Houston and led the implementation of new accounting systems and controls. The company grew from $10 million to $120 million annually. Andergauge transitioned through three changes of ownership over an eight-year period. I led the financial due diligence for each change of ownership.
