Designed and implemented the architecture for an internal search index containing Prime products with promotional pricing. Clients retrieve search results with a HTTP request to an AWS API Gateway service backed by AWS Lambda, which queries AWS Elasticsearch Service. The search index is populated via a listener on various external data sources that wrote to a DynamoDB table, which itself has an event stream handler that kicks off a Lambda function to index the data. All of this (plus alarms and dashboards) was built using AWS CloudFormation templates, allowing significantly reduced effort during our fast-follow worldwide expansion. This back-end was immediately used in Prime Day 2019 and encountered zero issues globally during the event's entirety.

- Designed and implemented architecture to enable self-service article publishing for https://www.amazon.com/primeinsider. Prior to the project, a developer was required to manually build, test, and code review every new or existing blog article change, leading to a 1 developer day lost per week. The updated process involves our content management system creating a new workflow in AWS Step Functions, where the work is executed by activity workers using a poll-based model. To allow supporting publishing use cases from external teams & organizations, I also designed the generic article data model, which is accessed via a HTTP request to a AWS API Gateway service. - Migrated static content shown on Amazon.com homepage, Prime member's "Your Prime flyout", and product checkout page in all international locations to utilize personalized auto-targeted content powered by various machine learning models.

Acquired expertise in VBA to automate Excel report generation for project management tasks. Additional functionality included Excel macro to automatically populate PowerPoint file for upper management.Wrote Excel data scraper macro to handle confidential performance data. Since data could not be stored online, the InfoPath form containing the data was sent to user’s email, where the macro was designed to extract data from the emails in Outlook and populate the Excel spreadsheet.
