Even in my first job in the dreaded CATI telephone call centre, I was that weirdo who was having a good time.6 years at Nielsen taught me market research fundamentals, and that getting hung up on occasionally wasn't the end of the world, because most people are lovely.A year at The ORU taught me online research fundamentals from some seriously impressive colleagues, and that I still had a lot to learn, and wouldn't be good at everything on the first try.3 years at Cint let me really hit my stride in the online survey sampling business, and taught me that I could move to the other side of the world with only a backpack, and everything would be ok!2 years at Ovation taught me to really focus on the experience of the people taking the surveys, because doing so leads to results and longevity.At Student Edge, I've been able to put all of that into practice - creating the Youth Panel business unit from scratch, being given the freedom to build and run it based on everything I've learned from all of these colleagues, years, and experiences. It's been one of the most satisfying things I've ever done, and 9 years after joining, I am still loving it and excited about what the future holds.It's been over 20 years since I hung up the headset in the call centre, but I still love meeting and chatting with new people - so feel free to shoot me a message, or come say hi at an event.
