About Kevin Kalota

I’m a software professional with over 15 years of experience developing applications to solve business problems. I have used programming languages like C and C++ to deliver solutions on Windows and various Linux platforms for companies such as Scottrade, Inc. and A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc.In my current role I write and support applications that deliver market data from our data vendors to our business users and clients. Some of the projects I’ve worked on include a project to migrate our data feed readers from the Windows platform to Linux, I’ve migrated applications from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 and worked on a system to improve the change management process for two of our development teams.Depending on the project, I’ve worked independently or collaboratively as a team. For any task, I strive to understand the requirements and business need before suggesting a solution. I find this approach leads the project to a successful conclusion for all stake holders.I have a BS in Finance and Banking from the University of Missouri Columbia and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri Science & Technology (Rolla).
