Kevin is a partner in law firm McCann FitzGerald and leads the firm's Construction Group. He has advised private sector developers and public sector bodies, funders, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants in relation to contract structures and drafting, contract administration and disputes and entitlements, including at court, mediation, arbitration, adjudication and conciliation. Projects include commercial, residential as well as large scale public projects including the New Children's Hospital.Kevin’s extensive construction practice is bolstered by his expertise in all aspects of public procurement law and projects which extends beyond the realm of construction and infrastructure and into the wider sphere of contracts with public sector organizations.Kevin has written articles and lectures extensively on the areas of construction contracts and procurement. He has lectured on both subjects on the engineering degree course at University College Dublin and, for over 20 years, has lectured on the Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration course in Trinity College Dublin.

  Kevin Kelly leads the firm’s Construction Group. He has aligned his extensive construction practice with a recognised expertise in all aspects of public procurement law and projects. Kevin’s experience of providing advice in public procurement extends beyond the realm of construction and infrastructure and into the wider sphere of contracts for public sector organisations, with special emphasis on assisting clients through this complex and changing area.Kevin regularly lectures and publishes articles on construction law and procurement law. He was a senior member of the team drafting the New Government Conditions of Engagements for consultants and led the team which prepared and implemented the training for the public sector on the New Public Works Contracts. He has also provided training to members of the CIF regarding prequalification issues arising out of the construction contracts published by the Department of Finance.Kevin lectures on procurement on the Construction Law and Contract Administration Diploma course at Trinity College Dublin.
