I Have now RETIRED to concentrate on living with Advanced Prostate Cancer and doing what I can to promote awareness of, and raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research.Recently appointed as a trustee of Abney Park Trust and looking forward to the opportunity to support a local cause with national importance.With over 30 years’ experience in management, communications and marketing, 21 of which have been in charities and non-profit management and fundraising, I have a wealth of both charity and commercial experience. I am passionate about raising money from individuals, with special strategic interests in donor motivations, online and new media. tribute, in memoriam and legacies, I am a regular presenter at conferences where charity leadership, management, fundraising and individual giving are important elements.I am an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIoF) where for many years I chaired the Nominations and Elections Committee, I am also a former trustee of the CIOF and Chair of the CIoF Awards Judging Panel. I am a Leadership Fellow of the Association of Chief Executive in Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) and former Founding Trustee of the Chartered College of Teaching.
