Kevin has over a decade of experience in strategic planning, project management, and DEI consulting. He was worked with both the private and public sectors, as well as being featured in a myriad of media, including the several podcasts and international radio and television. He has presented on DEI topics for the Overcoming Racism Conference, the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless Annual Conference and been a part of several leadership programs including the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Leadership St. Paul, The Bush Foundation Change Network, and the New Leaders Council (Oakland). He has provided consulting services for the Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Ramsey County, Dakota County Library, Emma Norton Services, Marjaree Mason Center, and the Community Action Partnership Kern. In 2019, he wrote the Equity Curriculum, a training and development program for organizations to identify ways to make tangible and measurable improvements in equity outcomes. Currently, he is the Manager of Equity and Inclusion for Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission, and is leading organizational change management efforts, specifically in implementing equity-based outcomes in programming. In this role, he also manages the Black Leadership Activating Community (BLAC) leadership program and oversees the work of the Fresno EOC COVID Equity Project (https://www.africanamericancoalition.org/). He is also the co-host of the Poverty Fighters podcast (fresnoeoc.org/poverty-fighters-podcast), and a Board Member of the University of California Riverside Transformational Leadership Program, Macalester College Alumni Board, and the New Leaders Council Oakland Chapter Curriculum/Institute Co-Chair. Kevin's also participates in the social justice and sci-fi initiatives, and is in the process of writing a book on the history of social justice through the lens of comic books, as well as a book on black superheroes and historical figures. While in Minneapolis, he worked alongside other community leaders and members in organizing the National Mother's March Against Police Brutality, and the Take a Knee Nation Conference in 2018. Prior to relocating to the Central Valley, he was on the NAACP Minneapolis Board, serving as the Strategic Advisor to the President.
