The optical fiber sensor system included a photon counting OTDR, GUI, optical splitter system and optical fiber. The system tested all 16 ends of the 8 fiber sensor at the same time using the OTDR. Performed research on using rare earth doped optical fiber to detect temperature changes within the sensor system. Researched and developed a new solar technology using rare earth dopants to perform wavelength conversion and semiconductor band gap engineering to increase the efficiency of solar cells.• IP Management: Filed provisional patent on the fiber optic sensor technology
