Saab (formally Sensis) develops sensor systems for FAA, DHS and DOD customers.• Business development: Developed new business and partnerships with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, ITT, Raytheon, Booz Allen, DOT, RRTO, Air Force, Army, DHS, FAA and NYSERDA, resulting in $5 million in revenue along with invitations by ITT to participate in the FAA Data Communication program and the FAA to participate in the FAA Data Communication Trials and FAA Backup Navigation program. Committee Member on Airport CDM Development & AIAA Technical Committee Sensor Group.• Proposal Capture: Defined the win strategy, value proposition definition, project planning, costing, business development and working with engineering, sales and accounting and resulting in over $2mil in FAA and DoD funding and $1mil from NYSERDA for an Aircraft Departure Manager at JFK.• Team Management: Managed a cross functional team of R&D engineers performing R&D/product development on multiple prototypes/projects in the area communications systems, radar systems, aviation systems, sensor systems and medical devices. Management responsibilities include project management, strategy development, team development, career planning, product requirements definition, personnel mentoring, manpower planning and customer interface.• Research and Development: Researched and designed an optical sensor system for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive sensor system and researched radar sensor technologies and Airport Surface Management Systems. Resulted in additional funding of $1mil, two patents and conference presentations/proceedings.• IP Management: Managed patent process, including idea refinement with the inventor, patent application review and working with patent attorneys on replying to Patent Office Action Items, resulting in an increase in the capture of IP by 50%.• Held Secret Security Clearance
