My 9 year journey in live Front of House Mixing began as an A2 at LIU’s Kumble Theater. During my 5 year employment I progressed first to Lead Sound Engineer and eventually Production Manager. The theater kept me sharp by hosting broad variety of productions; from concerts by renowned jazz artists, musical folk groups like bomba and son jarocho bands to small children’s plays, journalism awards and panels, body building events, and movie festivals. Here I dealt with mostly audio but was also introduced to lighting, projection, backdrops, and the general ins and out of working with theatrical production crew.Additionally I have also freelanced as an A1 for Queens Museum of Art for outdoor events, toured with Ballet Hispanico as an Audio Supervisor, worked for The Bowery Electric doing sound for bands, as well as other contracts in a variety of venues throughout my career. Most recently I strengthened my AV skills and added Art Handling to my skillset while working at the New Museum as an A/V Technician. I am a diligent, personable, and flexible worker with a wide breadth of experience regarding the technical and managerial aspects of a wide variety of live events. I pride myself on a clean, precise job while making the best use of the resources available to me. Additionally my roles have taught me to work with all sorts of temperaments and strengthen my customer/client communication and satisfaction skills. Running my own business, leading in managerial positions, as well as being an element of a production crew allow me to be a valuable fit to many team dynamics.In 2013, I started successful personalization business focusing on the luxury fragrance market, parallel to my career in sound. As a bottle engraver, I’ve had the pleasure to work with many luxury fashion houses such as Tiffany’s, Puig, Parfums de Marly, Yves Saint Laurent, L’Oreal, Dior, LVMH, and BPI Fragrances, Shiseido and Joe Malone. Working under high pressure, I have successfully managed high customer volumes during holiday events, sometimes in the hundreds for peak holidays. Lately, my work has expanded to experimenting with scrollwork, as well as incorporating polishing and finishing colors. This experience has honed my attention to detail and precision, essential qualities for a successful engraver.
