As lead developer for My46.org, developed specifications and implemented Drupal 7-based web application to return genetic sequencing results to research participants. Handled all aspects of site construction, including content and user type specifications, custom theming, custom security via integration with the University’s SAML-based identity verification service, and extensive module development featuring menu hooks, page and block generation, feature-rich user interaction via jQuery and complex AJAX multi-step form processing.

Since most of my clients were small businesses and nonprofit agencies I specialized in applications that imposed complicated business logic on relatively small sets of data. My services included data collection and process planning, database design, product evaluation, vendor selection, custom database development, data migration and ongoing application support. Features included large file upload, storage and retrieval in MySQL and thumbnail image generation.Little Brothers/Friends of the Elderly (San Francisco), 2002-2006. Reverse-engineered complex Microsoft Access legacy database system with no documentation or contact with original vendor. Provided ongoing database development and support to small nonprofit with limited budget.Girls Justice Initiative (San Francisco), 2004. Designed complex Microsoft Access database system to store and analyze proprietary data collected on girls moving through the San Francisco justice system.University of California, Santa Barbara Letters and Sciences Information Technology Department (Santa Barbara), 2010.
