I have practiced clinical and clinical health psychology since 1992 and as a medical/prescribing psychologist since 2006. I am retired from the Uniformed Services of the United States with service distributed across the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps (Fleet Marine Force), U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Public Health Service. I recently retired as a civilian Community Health Consultant with the U.S. Army.

ASAP is Division 55 of the American Psychological Association. Division 55 promotes the public interest by working to establish high quality statutory and regulatory standards for psychological care.

The Committee is the body charged with conducting the designation and recognition process for post-doctoral masters degree programs in clinical psychopharmacology for prescriptive authority. The Committee reviews applications from post-doctoral professional education programs desiring recognition that high scientific and clinical standards are being met.

I served as an advisor and Clinical Associate Professor of Clinical Psychopharmacology within the New Mexico State University (NMSU). I taught clinical psychopharmacology and basic biomedical sciences for the Post-Doctoral Master of Science program within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The NMSU post-doctoral M.S. in Clinical Psychopharmacology is designed to prepare licensed clinical psychologists to safely and competently prescribe psychotropic medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
