I am an Automation Architect and Quality Engineer with expertise in automated testing and continuous integration delivery and deployment systems. I have over 10 years of experience automating the testing and deployment of mobile and web apps using tools such as Watir, Selenium and Appium. In addition, I have extensive experience developing custom automation frameworks using Python, Ruby, and C#.My career began in R&D, working in the field of EO/IR sensors, photometry, and data analysis. I began as a research associate at a DC think tank before moving to the Naval Research Laboratory as a physicist in the Optical Sciences division. My final role in the defense industry was as a SETA at DARPA.Throughout this period, I was effectively an Automation Engineer, automating a myriad of prototype software and hardware systems and writing programs for processing and analyzing extremely large and complex data sets. I was also responsible for devising laboratory experiments and live-fire field tests, including both the writing and execution of test plans.I left this industry in 2010 upon moving to Austin and accepted a position at BioWare as an Automation Engineer. Initially, I used my previously acquired skills to turn copious amounts of collected data into useful and actionable metrics ranging from server performance to user experience. My main responsibility, however, was to develop and maintain an automation framework in support of our product and our QA teams. Most notably, I utilized AI and feedback/control loops to simulate users, a remarkable feat that was previously thought to not be possible.In addition to the automated testing of client-server applications, I have expertise in web services/content, mobile applications, databases, and APIs. In recent years, I've been responsible for maintaining CI/CD systems (Jenkins) and administrating services such as HockeyApp, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Github, PagerDuty, and Hipchat.I'm looking for a company who shares my vision of redefining Quality Engineering. I'm genuinely passionate about automated testing, streamlining build processes and developing internal tools to create what will become the gold standard for CI within the industry.
