Developing optical sensors at MESTECH (Marine and Environmental Sensing Technology Hub) for deployment in the marine environment, along with data analysis of the large quantities of information gathered by the group. Supervision of undergraduate, final year project students. Lecturing to 4th year Chemistry students on Risk Assessment. Demonstrating physics labs to 1st year general science students.

Involved in designing and building prototype and complete optical systems for both publicly and privately funded projects.
