Sometimes 'why' isn't good enough. I'm not one to be satisfied with the simple explanation or answer. I need to know why it works or why it doesn't. Turn the key or push the button to start your car. What happens? It starts. But why and how? The amount of detail and inter-related engineered parts of a car to get it started are complex yet work seamlessly and are infinetly interesting. And I haven't even left the driveway yet. The world is full of complex systems and processes that usually work seamlessly too. You take the train to work, get on an elevator, check email on your phone and all is well. Until it's not. The capital markets are a mix of bonds, foreign exchange rates, agricultural cycles and business decisions that affect people's lives daily in ways most never think about. Electronic markets have changed how we access them but how are they all connected? What makes weather changes in South America move US grain prices? Why does the political system of a few countries and how they vote become the root cause of changes in heating gas prices in Europe? These are the systems that affect all of us. Knowing your opponent, your financial risks and your challenges ahead is the key to be successful. I do the market analysis of how and why of what I'm doing or undertaking. Knowing why to make the trade, what are my risks, what am I seeing and what am I missing is essential, but it's something I do. Every day.If you look at the world the same way every day you will limit your opportunities. I work to change that because my experience will serve your needs. If your looking for a new perspective on what can be done, let's connect. Thanks!
