The club has over 400 members ranging from beginners to masters and I manage a team of 15 teachers and over 30 volunteers. • Delivered an all-inclusive aquatic programme providing sustainable structures across Manchester at eleven pools.
• Responsible for the effective leadership, direction and management of 15 staff, together we translated the vision into reality. Managed the process of harmonisation of staff contracts.
• Mentored community club teachers and ensured access to a CPD programme that met needs of staff/volunteers.
• Management of £1m budget and procurement of goods/services, ie school swimming transport.
• Facilitated partnerships between schools swimming, learn to swim programmes and swimming & water polo clubs and instigated a pilot to look at ways of delivering a citywide development programme to ensure pathway for.
• Teaching and coaching of aquatics throughout the city was standardised (11 pools, 128 schools, 5 swimming clubs) through the adoption of the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming, increasing national curriculum.
