I am the Senior Secretary & Caseworker to the Rt Hon Nick Herbert CBE MP.I deal with any issues constituents raised with Nick's office. This often means communicating quickly and efficiently with numerous outside agencies to ensure a positive outcome for all parties involved. I have ran advice surgeries in order to directly resolve problems facing constituents. I am highly skilled in the Cross Reference casework management system. I also manage Nick's busy diary, including scheduling overseas visits and liaising with C-level executives and other high-level stakeholders to ensure successful meetings.Additional duties include some office management responsibilities, such as ensuring the office is well stocked, assigning work to other staff members, and managing Nick's incoming correspondence. I also deputise for Nick when groups to come to visit Parliament and he is not immediately available to meet with them. I work particularly closely with Parliament's Education Service to this end.Level-headedness, confidentiality, and good communication are some of the skills I have found essential working in this capacity.

I served as Nick Herbert's Secretary & Caseworker for eight months until I was promoted. My duties were similar as to those listed in my current position in Nick's office.

I was Alan Mak MP's Secretary.My main responsibilities included writing speeches for Chamber debates, constituency events and Party Conference; managing Alan's inbox and diary; preparing briefings; tabling questions, and actioning and assigning casework.I also had responsibility for managing Alan's role as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy. This included liaising with senior external contacts at the Department, communicating with backbench MPs in relation to BEIS's Parliamentary business, and keeping Alan fully briefed on BEIS's activities.Efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise are some of the skills I have found useful in this position.

I served as Guy Opperman MP's Casework Assistant on a part-time basis. My duties were similar to as detailed above in my current role with the Rt Hon Nick Herbert CBE MP.

I have held several Campaign Management roles with the Conservative Party thoughout the North East. I have been in charge of creation and implementation of strategy, production of voter outreach materials, and budget management. I am experienced in using both VoteSource and NationBuilder.Other responsibilities included drafting press releases, turning press releases into 'Matters' style leaflets for direct delivery to constituents, and managing a wide portfolio of social media accounts for many candidates; including on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Most recently I worked with Northumberland Conseratives during their county council election campaigns. We went from having 20 councillors to 33 – falling one short of a majority due to us drawing a short straw in a division with a tied result.From July 2015 – May 2016, I worked with Newcastle Conservatives and had specific responsibility for their target ward of West Gosforth. Using the latest canvassing and voter engagement techniques, I managed to achieve a positive swing of 13.1% compared to an average city-wide swing of just 1.4%.Creativity, organization, and the ability to lead are some of the skills I have found most useful in this role.
