Western States Fire Protection Company (WSFP) is a full service fire protection company in business since 1985. WSFP designs, builds and maintains fire protections systems in commercial or residential buildings. WSFP has installed life safety systems within Denver International Airport, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, the Eisenhower tunnel, and numerous residential projects throughout the area. WSFP also provides complete servicing of fire protection systems (both sprinkler and alarms systems). Our other services include; alarm monitoring, annual inspections, backflow and extinguisher inspections, and 24/7 emergency repairs to any life safety system. WSFP has 36 locations throughout the Western United States, and has a national presence with our parent company, API Group, Inc. Additionally, several of our branches provide free training classes to provide an understanding of fire protection systems.

•Developed yearly budgets of $400,000+ and monitored all procurement plans. •Expedited the completion of civil engineering projects for condominium community. Coordinated with various construction companies to ensure specifications were being met, developed timelines, and identified areas of concerns to improve efficiency.•Collaborated with Benson & Associates law firm over a 2 year period, to successfully procure two construction defect claim settlement for homeowner’s association. One settlement was for over $500,000, and the other settlement was for approximately $2.3 million.•Developed 14 pages of rules and regulations, which followed the guidelines of Colorado state law governing the functions of all Colorado homeowner’s association. Also, regularly produced newsletters for community of 168 homeowners.

Responsible for developing and operating a profitable sales territory. Created two new territories within an 8 month period. Presented advertising and marketing solutions to local businesses, and negotiated year long contractual agreements.

Launched new business strategy for start-up Import Company. Assisted in creating original designs of textiles to be manufactured and imported from Ecuador. Developed wholesale and retail markets for imported textiles, and negotiated contracts with business owners to maximize profit margins. Developed business plan for company and created an operational budget.

Corporate Sales Manager for a 477 room hotel with 25,000 square feet of meeting space. Completed requests for proposals and negotiated contracts with corporate groups to maximize revenues for hotel. Managed all details of event planning for business groups at hotel (up to 500 people).

Responsible for developing and operating profitable sales territories nationwide. Negotiated data and telecommunications contracts with small and mid-market companies; accounts generating capital expenditures up to $220,000/year. Developed and maintained a nationwide customer base of 200+ clients.

Conducted biological testing of water and sediment samples. Maintained customer base of 100+ clients, assisting them in scheduling and testing procedures. Assisted Lab Manager in organizing and running daily operations. Performed quality control for laboratory.

I was a supervisor of field crews during the following years: 1988-1991 & 1996-1997. During these periods, I held postions with both the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
