Analyze borrower’s needs and originate residential mortgages. Completeinitial underwriting through DU on the web. Counsel borrowers on thelending process and keep those borrowers updated throughout thelending process. Maintain past client database for future follow-uppurposes.

Supervised and trained a staff of two processors & closers, 1 StaffUnderwriter and temporary staff as needed. Processed and closed an average of 25 files at all times as well. Worked directly with Loan Officers and staff to develop new and more efficient processes to move loans through the pipelines.

I started as a loan processor and worked my way up to a level 2 underwriter and was in the process of training to become a level 3 underwriter before I decided to go into the Sales department for the last year. While in the sales area I was given the chance to train a newly hired staff of about 30 to complete loan applications and do initial underwriting on new loans. I was chosen because of my extensive knowledge of the sales and underwriting processes. I also had underwriting authority to speed up the process.
