Often travel off the unbeaten track with just my boards, music & backpack; although knower days it's more family-style resorts.L E A D E R S H I P —Bit of fun: I have worked on some big projects over the years, one includingworking as a team leader in my younger days on the feature film Racing Stripes; where I looked after 50 odd extras and made sure they were on set where and when they were needed. I was coaching surfing at the time to whom turned out to be Bruce Greenwood and we became friends. Before I knew it, he organized me a role leading a bunch of 50 plus extras on a film set. A funny conversation I did alert him I know nothing about being an Extra’s Team Leader he laughed and said: "If anyone says anything mentions his name and then he laughed". This was only a two-month bit of fun project, but a lot was learnt in those two months about running a large team with a vast amount of patience which helps me today when providing training to all different skill levels.
