Highly motivated by design challenges and skilled at defining and resolving problems with strong leadership, visual, technical, verbal and written communication skills, Kevin brings twenty-six years of professional experience to the design of multiple project types. In his role as the Worcester Office Director at Habeeb & Associates Architects, Kevin is passionate about creating a culture of inspired design and technical excellence that improves the quality, performance and cost effectiveness of each project. During project development, Kevin works with clients, project teams and engineering consultants to define the relationship of building technology to project goals. He reviews all projects for quality control, code compliance, energy conservation, sustainability goals and applications of construction technology. Kevin works with junior staff to support and develop the design and technical quality within the office and serves as a mentor in the NCARB Intern Development Program. Kevin is especially focused on high-performance building systems and the investigation of materials, technologies, and enclosure systems that improve building performance, conserve energy and manage risk. He is exceptionally skilled at identifying opportunities for energy conservation, and has worked successfully with gas and electric utility providers developing energy models and financial incentives for the implementation of energy conservation measures on several projects. Kevin was an invited co-presenter at the 2015 National Grid Customer and Partner Energy Efficiency Summit, discussing Successful Projects With New Construction Services.He currently holds architectural registrations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. Kevin has served on the Central Massachusetts AIA Board of Directors, the BSA Building Enclosure Council and served as Chair of the City of Worcester Historical Commission.
