An award-winning filmmaker and native of Mineral Wells, Texas, Kevin has been in love with filmmaking since the 5th grade. After attending the University of Texas, Kevin spent five years contract producing at Columbia TriStar Pictures in L.A. before returning to Austin to produce and direct for his own clients. Kevin's work combines his passion for documentaries and human interest storytelling with a unique cinematic style, earning him his first Lone Star Emmy award in 2009. When he's not behind the camera, you can find Kevin behind the wheel of his sweet 1969 Buick Skylark, or hanging out with his wife Eileen and their two troublemaking dogs, Pepe and Chiquita. My role as owner & partner: Founded Austin-based, boutique creative agency focusing on visual storytelling and messaging for clients and brands throughout the state of Texas Manage and oversee day-to-day operations including bookkeeping, equipment acquisition, contract labor, yearly budgets and expenditures Responsible for look and feel of agency branding including print, web, and video Responsible for new business development and marketing the Skylark brand to prospective clients Client and stakeholder liaison responsible for creating and managing project budgets from development to delivery Develop and write client proposals, creative briefs, messaging, scripts and outlines as well as supervise all aspects of video development/research, pre-production, production, and post-production Write and conduct all on-camera interviews with talent and interviewees Manage social media presence on Facebook

A proud native of the north-central Texas town of Mineral Wells, Pruitt became enamored with filmmaking in the 5th grade. Fast forward to his UT Austin college years, Pruitt was invited to showcase his work at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, after which he began contract work for Columbia TriStar Pictures promoting and marketing home videos for motion pictures. After four years of commuting between Los Angeles and Texas to work on various projects, Pruitt decided to settle back in Austin to develop his skills as a director and producer. Pruitt currently focuses on producing and directing reality-based, human-interest projects with the goal of raising awareness and funds for various companies and institutions across the country. Time and again, he is sought for his distinctive interviewing style for a long and ongoing list of luminaries and clients such as The University of Texas, PBS, The Kimbell Art Museum, The Bureau of Economic Geology, Austin Independent School District, Willie Nelson, Dan Rather, Secretary of State James A.
