I led the team of highly skilled engineers responsible for developing and delivering full satellite platforms at Clyde Space. My team took over from the sales department to design and deliver fully assembled and tested spacecraft for launch. My roles and responsibilities included:• Resource planning and workload forecasting for the range of platform projects at the company• Reviewing and signing off on technical documentation• Refining and improving the company’s spacecraft development lifecycle• Acting as design authority for major decision-making and formal design reviews• Gearing up the company for the transition to developing satellite constellations• Applying standardisation, lean nanosatellite philosophies and the latest developments from the “new space” sector to best fulfil customer needs• Handling line manager duties for my team of engineers

As systems engineer my role was to drive CubeSat projects from early mission concept definition through platform design, manufacture, integration, test and delivery. As the lead engineer on several projects, I used my skills and competencies to:• Work on, and negotiate Phase-A mission concepts and system trades with customers• Define requirements and verification methods• Create and maintain system-level budgets and architectures • Identify and manage risk, issues, and schedules• Develop and execute AIT procedures, leading the assembly and test of complete satellite systems• Efficiently work within diverse teams of engineers, project managers, technicians• Apply the small satellite philosophy to established spacecraft standards (ECSS, GEVS, &c.) to deliver dependable solutions within strict budgets and time-frames.

Helping 3rd year BSc students with simulating aerodynamics, flight mechanics and structures problems.

My role was to contribute to the development of the in-orbit verification tool for the SWARM satellite mission in MATLAB and further to participate in clean room magnetic cleanliness tests for a SWARM satellite battery subsystem.
