Kevin Refah is a Partner in the Toronto office of Miller Thomson LLP. His practice is focused in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, and corporate law. He is a member of Miller Thomson’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group, Business Law Group and Financial Services Group. Kevin frequently advises clients in connection with the acquisition and divestiture of shares and assets, including cross-border transactions. He counsels founders, executives, boards of directors, financial institutions, investment banks, family offices, venture and private equity principals and other enterprises on a wide range of issues, including business strategy, capital raises, board governance, general corporate counseling, complex business disputes and various types of corporate and commercial transactions. In his debt financing practice, Kevin has represented a diverse group of institutional lenders, banks, and investors. He advises foreign and domestic clients with respect to bilateral and syndicated financings, acquisition financings, cash-flow and asset-based financings, project financings, cross-border financings and real estate financings. Kevin also routinely acts for borrowers in connection with debt financing transactions. Kevin considers it a top priority to provide additional value for his clients beyond traditional legal advice and services. One of the ways in which Kevin does so is by leveraging his extensive network to facilitate strategic introductions, originate deals, and generate revenue for his clients, referral sources and other partners.
