OptionVue's primary mission was to develop and deliver software solutions and education for derivatives traders. I was responsible for all marketing and sales efforts for all three product lines. Through efforts that greatly improved sales, I was promoted from Director of Marketing to Vice President of Marketing in late 2007. Through leadership and management initiatives I was again promoted in early 2008 and given responsibility of leading and managing the in-house sales team. My key role with the company included managing all marketing and sales activities and budgets, supervising approximately half of the company’s employees and several outside contactors, and leading the education business unit.

Created the new business of residential breakfast delivery in Chicago and grew it to profitability and two locations in less than two years. Was able to build a brand for this entirely new business concept and create enough exposure in a large market to educate potential customers about the business and drive sales. Gained more than 3,500 unique customers in the first two years of operations and grew from three employees to more than twelve employees. Business was sold in 2007.

I worked with a team of five others in the finance department of the Kirkland & Ellis, LLP law firm to implement third-party beta software. We successfully implemented a program that would allow administrators and senior partners in the firm to find potential conflicts of interest between existing and potential clients and the individual investments of the attorneys.

I worked with the owner of Tacit Consulting, Inc. to organize secretarial survey data from the Kirkland & Ellis, LLP client. I successfully organized the data into useful tables and graphs and helped spot meaningful trends and draw performance recommendations. I then helped present the findings to senior staff at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP which led to contract employment at Kirkland & Ellis upon completion of the secretary project.

I was responsible for all marketing for the 85 Gingiss Formalwear company-owned tuxedo rental and retail stores. I managed a $1.65million marketing budget and supervised four company employees and several outside vendors. I improved same-store sales by 7% in 2001 and by 9% in the first three quarters of 2002. I also helped revive previously struggling stores with targeted direct mail campaigns and cut the direct mail staff by one person while increasing output. I was directly responsible to the Vice President of Operations.

I was responsible for all advertising and marketing for the 200+ Dan Howard Maternity clothing retail stores across the United States and the iMaternity.com online retail brand. I managed the $2.2million marketing budget and supervised two employees. I improved the company’s advertising, which resulted in an increase in all major- market stores sales by nearly 8% in 1999, my first full year with the company. With my department’s online advertising efforts iMaternity.com’s sales increased by more than 30% each quarter over the prior quarter while I was with the company. I was directly responsible to the C.E.O. and to the President.
