I was a member of the development team and I worked on much of the software behind Qumulo Core including filesystem analytics, the erasure-coded block storage layer, snapshots, data layout algorithms, failure recovery, replication, test infrastructure, security, and customer support integration.I also worked as a product manager working on replication and backup features.

Lead engineer for security features of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM). Designed and implemented IAM service and backend authentication stack. Technical lead on the AWS authorization policy language (leveraging PhD work in language-based security). Significant experience delivering critical customer functionality in a distributed environment and driving cross-service adoption of new features.In-depth experience with identity and access management technology, cryptographic systems, and security protocols. Hands-on knowledge of Java, MySQL, Oracle, Berkeley DB, Hadoop, ANTLR, Hibernate/C3P0, EC2, and S3. I've worked on major cross-team projects through the lifecycle of initial conception, design, implementation, and phased launch schedules.Other experience includes giving major technical presentations (including "Principals of Amazon" forum), demonstrating new features to external customers, writing customer-facing documentation and specifications, contributing to technical blogs, interviewing hundreds of candidates, and mentoring interns and other engineers.
