In the lab working on solutions for VMWare vSAN DRaaS products as well as Windows AD/AWS integration.

Delivered the prototype for a major Alberta city's new internet backbone. Included load generators for QOS, router configurations to emulate the existing MPLS networks and VPN concentrator solutions for cost effective access to smaller sites. Delivered a web service gateway solution for a northern mining company. Due to the slow network links inherent in remote operations these gateways served as a window into improving their networks efficiency. Installed switches and Wi-Fi networks for a new chain of stores opening in the Calgary area. Finished the Cisco Network Certifications up to the CCNP Switch level.

Leading the team providing custom software solutions for Shaw's Communication Systems department. Ensuring alignment, investment and excitement surrounding our ideas are a just small part of daily life in a creative design and deploy environment. Our architects and developers use cutting edge continuous integration techniques to ensure production solutions work the first time without exception. The results ensure our customers are provided with an industry leading browsing experience, no matter how they access our network.

Lead the team that designed and implemented a CableLabs service activation system. The solution consisted of a multi-million row Oracle schema, a memcached C++ file agent, a central java compiler and state machine, and a Jave EE suite of management tools and provisioning APIs. Currently supports all of Shaw’s DOCSIS and PACKETCABLE registration requirements.

Responsible for deployment of new internet services and development of web based applications and products. Negotiation of hardware pricing and onsite hardware installation to support our custom software. Products included the implementation of Shaw’s first deep packet inspection system using the NetFlow protocol and a Kerberos network authentication service for PacketCable.
