I am a recent graduate from Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, where my academic journey has fostered a strong professional focus on the world of biology and microbiology. My professional journey also includes significant hands-on experience as a Laboratory Assistant at the Texas A&M International University Biology Department. In this role, I had committed to safety standards, meticulously preparing samples and specimens for testing, maintaining laboratory organization, and ensuring a sterile environment. The laboratory environment provided me with a unique space for collaborative learning and problem-solving where under the guidance of experienced instructors I learned to navigate the challenges of experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting, which are crucial skills in any scientific discipline.During my time in Texas A&M I became proficient in using various laboratory instruments, equipment, and normatives including Microscopes, Centrifuges, Gel Electrophoresis, Cell isolation and culture, Cell staining techniques, Spectrophotometry, Chromatography, PCR machines, DNA fingerprinting, population sampling techniques, Statistical analysis, Handling of hazardous materials, Protocol adherence, and Proper waste disposal. These technical skills not only enhanced my scientific capabilities but also made me feel confident and well-prepared for the practical aspects of a career in biology.My laboratory experiences were not limited to microbiology alone but they extended to other branches of biology, exposing me to diverse research methodologies and laboratory practices from genetics to biochemistry; I had the chance to explore different facets of biology, contributing to a well-rounded education.I am formally trained in pursuing methods, skilled in active listening, and possess a strong work ethic dedicated to achieving goals.
