DC-AMS Science Fair Coordinator in the Washington D.C. area for the 2013-2014 chapter year.

Coordinate about 40 Maryland, Delaware weather observers into a group. We produce a monthly report based on our observations of the climate of the region, temperature, precipitation, other meteorological variables. Have occasional meetings, social get-togethers for interaction between observers, exchanging and sharing information. All volunteer, most of us are not professional meteorologists, but are experienced weather observers.

Maintained my backyard weather station, keeping daily statistics of temperature, precipitation, peak wind gusts, humidity, dew point, and barometric pressure. Generally note the sky cover, both in a few real time spots and over the entire day. Ensure that my weather monitoring equipment is working properly and in line with other closeby stations. Ensure I have a working connection to the internet and CWOP and Weather Underground, where my daily data is posted in both real-time and historically. Answer any questions I may receive about my real-time or historical weather observations. STATION CLOSED. My backyard weather station daily weather data input through the internet into CWOP.

I helped provide raster chart updates to the nautical charts of Alaska from Coast Guard and NGA Notice to Mariners publications for the Alaska area. Also helped to manage the Notice to Mariners database of chart corrections for Alaska through 17th Coast Guard District and NGA notices published each week. Many other related duties were performed as assigned.
