With over 30 years in emergency medical services, starting as a paramedic in 1992 and progressing through various executive leadership roles, my focus today is applying this experience to help lead in the advancement of contemporary paramedic system design as a model of mobile integrated health (MIH). Embracing outcome-based system planning and implementation strategies, I have worked with progressive organizations to help transform service delivery to enhance system performance and promote resource sustainability to help meet the demands being placed on today’s emergency health services whilst providing high quality care. Recognizing that the success of a system is only possible by putting people first and establishing clear organizational values, I have adopted the People Care philosophy (Thom Dick) and STAR CARE principles to help promote the establishment of a positive human-centric organizational culture.
