15 years ago, I set out on an unknown path. As with many people in our industry, we didn't really know what we were getting into. The day we walked into the first trade show or opened our first event we knew that we were in for a ride, and what a ride it has been.Over that time, I have had the privilege of working with some amazing clients, working on some amazing events, and being part of some incredible companies. I have been fortunate to execute trade show exhibits in just about every vertical and in over 10 different countries. From 10 x 10's to 150 x 200, and rental to fully custom chalet's that functioned as month-long exhibit spaces. Additionally, I have been able to execute product launches, including an incredible launch of the Bell 525 at Heli Expo in 2012, special events, and corporate events that include full General Session execution, meetings rooms, exhibit builds and all aspects of event management. One of my favorite things about this industry is that every day I know I get to work on something different. Every project has it's unique challenges and opportunities, but the joy of seeing an event come to life will keep me going in this industry for years to come.In 2014, I was fortunate to make a slight shift in my career to start to manage a team. It took what was great about this industry and added what I have come to enjoy even more, and that is being able to see my team succeed. I truly enjoy the day-to-day interactions as well as the training, development, and strategic planning involved, but nothing is better than watching them hit their goals and produce world-class events, and knowing that I get to be a part of their careers.It's an amazing ride, and I am excited to see where things go from here.
