Chief Operating Officer, Head Of Markets, Head Of Digital TransformationAvpn Jul 2020 - Jun 2024Singapore, Singapore, SgAs COO at AVPN, I managed two key portfolios: Head of Markets and Head of Digital Transformation. Over three years, I led the expansion of our local market team from 11 to 16 markets, pioneering a partner model in eight of them. Given the diversity across Asia, we initially had seven different membership options, which led to inefficiencies and confusion. To address this, I led a change management process that streamlined the membership model to just three tiers. On the digital front, our team significantly enhanced the conference experience by developing the Conference App and improving the registration process. We also consistently introduced technology-driven improvements to various AVPN team's workflow, boosting overall efficiency. -
Managing Director, Knowledge CentreAvpn Jan 2014 - Jun 2020Singapore, Singapore, SgIn 2014, AVPN's Knowledge Centre launched its inaugural report, Getting Started in Venture Philanthropy in Asia, marking a key milestone in shaping philanthropic practices across the region. By 2017, we completed the first Social Investment Landscape in Asia report, covering 14 markets. That same year, we introduced our first thematic report, Funding Education with Impact, in collaboration with Credit Suisse and Sattva. This shift from promoting broad social investing practices to focusing on specific thematic areas allowed us to engage more deeply with our members.During this period, we piloted the AVPN Academy to enhance sector learning and engagement, and launched the Deal Share Platform, enabling AVPN members to share information on charities and social enterprises. I also led our Digital Transformation team in implementing Salesforce customizations to streamline AVPN operations, integrating this data into our website to create a more seamless member experience. When COVID-19 struck, AVPN quickly pivoted to host our annual event online. Our 2020 Global Conference attracted over 7,500 registrations, a testament to our ability to adapt. This successful transition required significant digital transformation and technological operations, all of which were accomplished within just four months. -

Co-FounderAnisya Sep 2010 - Aug 2024Singapore, SgAnisya promoted employment opportunities for foreign domestic workers in Singapore by providing them direct access to employers through an online employment marketplace. Anisya was an employment agency registered with the Ministry of Manpower.Over 14 years, Anisya was a pioneer in helping foreign domestic workers by offering them fee-free services and allowing them to directly connect with employers. Our work created better matches between workers and employers. Many other agencies have since adopted this model, to make this more of a norm. This platform was been a good avenue for me to stay current on tech: WordPress, BuddyPress, Bootstrap, PHP, SOLR, Java, using AWS, and dusting off old skills around information retrieval and search relevance techniques. -
