I conduct testing on samples to determine presence of various pathogens. Techniques used include wet-lab assays, petrifilm and petridish-related enumeration, ashing, titration, staining, and pathogen serotyping. Instruments used include ROKA Atlas system, VIDAS Biomerieux pathogen detection system, single and multi-channel pipettes, microscopes, and petrifilm plates.

Assisted senior scientists in conducting their research on oils. Daily duties comprise of operating fryers, organizing data onto a lab notebook, and preparing various items for sensory tests. Occasionally, I assist senior analytical lab scientists perform colorimetric tests on samples using a spectrophotometer.
