How many people can confidently say the following to almost anyone that has ever used the internet, “You have likely seen my work.”? I just happen to be one of those people. Whether you were ever shopping for a new watch, booking a flight, browsing for a new car, researching insurance, buying diapers or even just wandering down the internet rabbit hole, you have unknowingly seen something that was once started or approved on my computer. I am not a famous computer nerd like Jobs or Gates. I am more like the Alan Tudyk of digital marketing & web technology. The guy that is in everything, but only a few people recognize him or know who he is. When I look at my career thus far, I am even dumbfounded about the vast body of work I have created and overseen. There are hundreds of commercial websites, thousands of HTML emails, web & mobile applications, Windows executables, banner ads, logos, brochures, animated display presentations that fly around the American Airlines Center during a Stars or Mavericks game, and even a couple board games. Just the other day I remembered I once built the website for the Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. Who forgets that? I guess what happens in Vegas really can stay there.I’ve won tech awards and web design awards.I’ve filled Apache & IIS servers with HTML, CSS, C#, PHP, JS, VB and even a little PERL and Python. I created a JavaScript AI engine that tries to beat the user at Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock.I constructed WhatStephBakes.com, an eCommerce website, for my wife so she can showcase her brilliant cake artistry skills.I’ve directed the brand identity for over 30 companies. I’ve created hypertargeted PPC ad campaigns that have driven millions of dollars in revenue. For my kids, I built Eyezea.com so they could safely browse the internet and play games.I’ve architected web applications that integrate with the Nortridge loan management system, Amazon’s SQS, AuctionAccess, SolutionsByText, Cox Automotive, Manheim, various banking systems, and numerous other APIs.I created Uncle Kev’s Snacks and The Recipe Depot, just so Achilles Interactive could have some design examples.
