As a Peer Recovery Worker at Wellways Australia, I provide support and mentorship to people with mental health challenges, using my own lived experience and recovery journey. I work with clients to develop individualized recovery plans, promote self-advocacy and empowerment, and facilitate peer support groups and workshops.I have over four years of experience as a NDIS Support Worker, providing care and assistance to clients with a wide range of physical and intellectual disabilities. I have worked with various community health professionals and services to refer clients, create case plans, and respond to crises. I have also assisted clients with personal care, medication administration, and community access. I am passionate about helping people of all backgrounds and abilities to achieve their goals and live meaningful lives.
